Paulsen Sparks Careers in Agriculture
Not every current high school or collegiate student today will end up working for Amazon, Google or Facebook. Tomorrow’s workforce may be overlooking a wide swath of opportunities in the industry that feeds, clothes and fuels our world.
To provide students with access to insights, career inspiration and advice, Paulsen is pleased to introduce Spark Ed. This free series of two-to-five-minute videos features agribusiness leaders who have been interviewed for Paulsen’s Spark: Careers in Agribusiness podcast.
Each video focuses on advice to students interested in agribusiness careers that educators, FFA advisors and 4-H leaders can use to get students thinking about various careers in agriculture.
“Many students think about getting a degree in business or technology or another area, but they may not realize they can use that degree working for an agricultural company,” says Sara Steever, president, Paulsen. “There are also a lot of career opportunities in agriculture that they may not even be aware of.”
The Spark Ed videos feature agribusiness leaders including Jessie Kreke, senior marketing manager for Culver’s; animal health and agribusiness expert Amy Tranzillo, senior consultant of The Context Network; entrepreneur and editor Sara Wyant, Agri-Pulse Communications; Susanne Wasson, U.S. commercial leader for Dow AgroScience’s Crop Protection division; and many more.
