When asked why she chose to accept an offer to join Paulsen as its new Media Ops Specialist, Megan Forster's answer was clear: It was about the people.

"It's always about the people you work with as much as it is about what you're doing," says Megan, who began her new role at Paulsen in February after having worked for the City of Sioux Falls over the past several years and, prior to that, with Keloland Media Group. "It feels like a close-knit team at Paulsen, and there are so many people with expertise in their specific fields."

“We are thrilled to have Megan at Paulsen,” says Chief Technology Officer Sara Steever. “Her professional background and people-first orientation will only further enhance our media team’s capacity to deliver quality service and support to our clients.”

Megan attended Vassar College and graduated with a major in English and minor in Political Science. The well-rounded education she received at the strong liberal arts institution in Poughkeepsie, New York, prepared her well as a critical thinker and problem solver.

"I love to solve problems," she says, "and I really like the strategic side of the work I'll be doing at Paulsen."

Megan grew up in Brandon and has fond memories of hanging out with friends who lived on acreages in what was then a distinctively rural community with a small-town feel. Paulsen’s focus on moving rural America will help reconnect her with those roots in a unique way, and she welcomes that.

Today Megan lives in Sioux Falls with her English bulldog. She enjoys reading, hiking and other outdoor pursuits and has a goal of visiting the more than 80 parks within the Sioux Falls Park District.
