As someone who values both creative and analytical processes, Calob Jones feels right at home in the world of digital marketing. “I like being able to research and look into data,” he explains, “and then make decisions to optimize campaigns.”

That full-circle approach to marketing campaigns will serve him well in his new position as Digital Media Ops Specialist at Paulsen. Calob is eager to specialize in media after working as more of a generalist in his previous marketing role.

He is likewise looking forward to focusing on a few core industries. “I’m excited to work in agriculture,” says Calob, who was born in rural Minnesota and spent the latter half of his childhood in Aberdeen, South Dakota. “I’ve always been around it; it’ll be exciting to narrow down and focus on that.”

“We are grateful to have Calob join our media team,” says Paulsen President & CEO Marcus Squier. “We are doing tremendous work helping our clients plan and optimize campaigns, and the addition of Calob only strengthens those efforts.”

Calob is a graduate of South Dakota State University, where he earned a bachelor of science in advertising. He also competed in the hammer throw, shot put and weight throw as a member of the Jackrabbits track and field team.

When not at work, Calob enjoys being in the kitchen and trying new recipes. “I like the process of cooking. It’s not always good,” he laughs, “but at least I tried.” He also watches sports, spends time outdoors and loves riding his 2003 BMW R1150 RT motorcycle, which he takes out on South Dakota’s open roads each summer.
