Thane Paulsen

Thane joined Paulsen in 1979 to work alongside his father, agency founder Maurice Paulsen. When Maurice passed away in 1987, Thane became company president—a position he held for two decades before handing over the reins to Greg Guse in November 2008.

Thane is now Chief Operating Officer at Paulsen, a role that allows him to work with the management team and oversee financial operations. He is also a fierce advocate for the CliftonStrengths Assessment and strengths-driven development for the entire staff. His proven ability to build and maintain a strong, growing, profitable business continues to drive the company forward. Thane graduated from South Dakota State University and will happily talk sailing with anyone who asks.
