Isabella Chism, Indiana Farm Bureau
Second Vice President of Indiana Farm Bureau Isabella Chism immigrated to the U.S. from Austria with her parents when she was six years old. She expected to follow in her father’s footsteps and work at General Motors, but ended up marrying a farmer, which completely changed her career trajectory.

Second Vice President of Indiana Farm Bureau (IFB), Isabella Chism serves on the IFB board of directors and its affiliated companies, including Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. She is a member of the executive committee and chairs the State Women’s Leadership Committee and Insurance Audit Committee. Chism is a graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series and has completed Conversation Leaders training through the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and Syngenta. Other leadership positions include Chair of the Agriculture Council of America, Vice Chair of the American Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee, Chair of the Howard County Extension Board and more. Chism lives on a farm with her family, where they raise corn, soybeans and sweet corn.
