Evan Wibben Joins Paulsen Team With Experience and Passion
Through his passion for serving others and extensive website development experience, Evan Wibben is quickly finding his place here at Paulsen.
As the newest Paulsen front end developer, Evan brings a fresh perspective to the team, allowing him to use what he has learned at his previous agencies.
“With Evan’s experience in agency website development, he is proving he is a valuable asset to the team,” said Tom Kamnikar, digital project manager. “He is able to clearly communicate his different perspectives to our team which allows us to better the work we do for our clients.”
Before joining the Paulsen team, Evan worked as a web developer for Epicosity Marketing and as the chief web officer for the Arlen Agency. In these positions, he helped establish the website development process at both agencies, allowing him to become more knowledgeable within his position.
At Paulsen, Evan now works directly with the creative team to convert their designs into codes for the websites they are developing. In addition to design coding, he also helps evaluate a website's functionality.
His favorite part of his position is the collaboration that he is able to have both with clients and team members.
After the initial meeting with Sara Steever, Chief Technology Officer, and Tom Kamnikar, Evan knew that Paulsen was the place he wanted to work.
“I think a huge part of finding where you want to work is figuring out the people you want to work for,” says Evan. “When I met Sara and Tom, I knew that’s who I wanted to work for.”
Through this conversation, Evan could clearly see that he wanted to be a part of the work being done here at Paulsen. He felt that the website development team’s process was extremely well established and saw the team's desire to continue taking the next step to make their services even better for their clients.
Paulsen also gives Evan an opportunity to connect with his childhood visits at his aunt and uncle’s farm.
“Growing up in Sheldon, Iowa, agriculture was everywhere,” said Evan. And with Paulsen’s drive to serve all things rural, he knew that Paulsen was the fit for him.
Throughout his time growing up in Iowa, Evan developed a love for the sport of soccer. After graduating high school, Evan obtained a degree in computer science at the University of Sioux Falls. Although the university didn’t have a soccer team, Evan found other ways to be involved and join a team. He signed up for two different leagues and decided to join the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) program. The significant impact this program made on Evan pushed him to continue being a part of the organization even after his college days.
Evan is excited to use his strong communication skills and enthusiasm in his position here at Paulsen to help contribute to the amazing things happening in rural America!
