Social and Paid Media Intern
We’re looking for three ambitious college students who want to learn
what it's like to work at a marketing agency. As a Paulsen intern,
you’ll get to work with a team of smart marketers and gain valuable,
real-world experience. This is a full-time paid internship opportunity,
so get ready to be challenged and inspired.
Our internship team for 2023 will have three members:
One account service intern
Two interns selected from these areas of interest:
- Design
- Writing
- Public relations
- Social and paid media
- Website development

Job details:
- 12-week internship from May through August
- $15.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
Social and Paid Media
As a social and paid media intern, you will help the account service team plan and implement promotional campaigns for our clients. You’ll also work with our creative team to manage campaign assets, including digital ads, native ads, sponsored social media posts, direct marketing, print and broadcast media, etc.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with account service, media and creative teams to develop effective media strategies
- Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
- Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
- Provide strategic recommendations to expand our client’s digital presence
- Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas and memes
- Support account service and creative teams as needed
Requirements
- Marketing or digital communications major
- Experience with the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Snapchat
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and Twitter Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance
